1. Who We Are

Solra ("we", "us", "our") is a personal safety platform operated from Cairo, Egypt. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Solra mobile application (the "App") and our website at solraapp.com.

This policy applies to all users of Solra. It complies with the Google Play Data Safety requirements, GDPR (where applicable), and Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law No. 151 of 2020.

2. Information We Collect

3. How We Use Your Information

Emergency response: Share your location with nearby responders and your guardians when you trigger SOS
Walk Me tracking: Monitor your walk route and alert guardians if you don't check in on time
Community safety: Aggregate and anonymize incident reports for area safety heatmaps
Guardian network: Notify your trusted contacts when you need help
Account security: Verify your identity and prevent fraudulent use
Service improvement: Understand how users interact with the app to improve safety features

4. What We Never Do

      We never sell your personal data to advertisers or third parties
We never track your location when you're not using the app (outside active Walk Me sessions)
We never access recordings you haven't explicitly uploaded
We never share your medical profile without an active emergency
We never use your data for advertising

    

5. Data Sharing

We share your information only in these limited circumstances:

With responders during emergencies: Your name, location, and emergency type are shared with verified nearby responders you have accepted
With your guardians: Your location and walk status are shared only with contacts you've explicitly added as guardians
With our service providers: Data is processed by the third-party services listed in Section 6
Legal compliance: If required by Egyptian law, court order, or government request
Safety enforcement: To investigate fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following service providers to operate Solra. Each has its own privacy policy:

All data transmission is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS 1.3

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access: View all data we have about you
Correction: Update your personal information at any time in the app settings
Deletion: Delete your account and all associated data (see Delete My Account)
Portability: Export your data in a machine-readable format
Withdraw consent: Disable location sharing, notifications, or other permissions at any time
Object to processing: Request that we stop certain uses of your data
Lodge a complaint: Contact your local data protection authority

9. Data Retention

When you delete your account, your personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days. Anonymized aggregate data (e.g., incident heatmaps) may be retained indefinitely for community safety purposes.

10. Children's Privacy

Solra is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 18. If we learn a user is under 18, we will delete their account and data. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us at the address below.

11. International Data Transfers

Solra is operated from Egypt. Your data may be stored on servers located in Europe (Railway and other infrastructure providers). By using the app, you consent to this transfer. We ensure contractual and technical safeguards are in place.

12. Cookies & Tracking

The Solra mobile app does not use cookies. We do not use third-party analytics trackers or advertising identifiers. The Solra website uses only essential cookies needed for functionality; no tracking cookies are used.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the App at least 30 days before taking effect. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
